Mist: A Charming Plant-Filled Restaurant In Bohol

Mist Panglao Bohol

Mist is fast becoming one of the most popular restaurants in Panglao Island Bohol because of its great ambiance, stylish interiors, and unique food ideas. It is a charming three-story modern-day nipa hut with plants artistically placed to create a perfect tropical island vibe. The restaurant just opened in October 2020 and became a hit on social media due to its Instagram-worthy backdrops.

Of course, our Bohol Food Adventure is not complete without trying out Mist Cafe & Restaurant. From Henann Tawala Resort, we walked to the restaurant with the help of Google Maps, which took us less than 30 minutes.

We arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 PM and got accommodated at 8 PM. I thought of a long queue, but surprisingly there’s none and, according to the staff, it is no longer a busy hour for the restaurant.

Plant-filled, refreshing interiors

The moment I stepped into this forest-themed restaurant, I felt good seeing the lush greens, and I know that this plant-filled area not only improves the air quality but also enhances my mood. Furthermore, the natural, eco-friendly materials for the fittings and fixtures gave an extra relaxing vibe.

Seating options:

The restaurant uses a variety of seating options depending on the type you may want to sit on, like swing seats or wooden chairs. If you have small kids, they would love lounging here for sure.

If you want a more intimate and cozier space, you may be seated in this aesthetically pleasing area surrounded by lush greens. The plant wall divider and the soft light set the mood for a romantic dinner.

We were seated in the bird’s cage-like private dining area on the third floor, which is best for a family. It is well-ventilated and does not need any artificial air. The low dining table and the comfortable lounge cushions create a casual atmosphere, and It feels like we are having a picnic dinner.

Unique Tablewares and Crazy Food Ideas

I was delighted with this premium tableware, thus bringing a smile to my face. The drinking glasses remind me of our sea-hopping adventure, while the gold spoon & fork tells me that this dinner is extra special.

What we ordered:

I was surprised that the restaurant uses a digital menu board, considering the quaint island vibe of the place.

Pyro Chicken (Whole)This Roasted Chicken was the newest innovation of the restaurant. The chicken flamed in a sizzling pan near our table before serving. We were all entertained watching the “chicken fire show” as the staff cracked jokes. The chicken tasted ordinary, though.

Mist Surf and Turf-A mix of stuffed crabs, stuffed squid, baked shellfish, garlic butter tiger prawns, salmon, and pork ribs served on a wooden platter. It does look like an elegant meal, and yes, it is very delicious.

For dessert, I tried their Choco Almond Hazelnut-Espresso, Almonds, Hazelnut & Chocolate topped with Whipped Cream and Nuts because most of their desserts were no longer available.

This place is kid-friendly, too, as they provide spaces for the kids and the kids at heart to enjoy, like the suspended lounging net and wooden slide.

Things to consider before visiting Mist:
