Hotel Review: Henann Tawala Resort, Panglao Bohol

Henann Tawala Resort

Henann Tawala Resort: It is the newest resort in Panglao, located within the Henann complex right beside the convention center. The resort features 210 guest rooms and premium facilities such as direct pool access rooms, multiple in-ground swimming pools, a restaurant, a pool bar, and the beautiful Alona Beach front area.

We came to Bohol to celebrate our 22nd Church Wedding Anniversary and to take a break from our daily grind. I booked an overnight stay at the Henann Tawala Resort since it was already fully booked at the Henann Resort Alona Beach. The hotel offers a promotional rate for a deluxe room of P4,671 net, breakfast included. I reserved two rooms, one for my husband and me and the other for my daughter and niece.

After we finished our fun and adventurous island-hopping tour (Dolphin Watching, Balicasag snorkeling, and Swimming at Virgin Island), we went straight to the Henann Tawala Resort and requested an early check-in at 11 AM and gladly accommodated. Checking in was smooth, and the receptionist who assisted us was courteous. After she explained the hotel policies and oriented me to the resort amenities, she handed the card key to me with a bright smile as she welcomed us as hotel guests. The hotel does not require a security deposit; it is up to the guest to decide if they want to.

The Hotel Lobby/ Reception Area: The area is simple yet spacious, clean, homey, and welcoming. The ocean breeze elements and the soft lighting fixtures gave a relaxing ambiance. The lobby has more than enough comfortable seats for the guests on standby.

Our accommodation is a 40 sq m room featuring an open closet, safety deposit box, personal ref, Aircon, 43 inc Led TV, coffee & tea making facility, plush sofa, and Telephone with IDD & NDD (with charge). The room has complimentary coffee, tea, bottled water, a COVID-19 safety kit, and plastic laundry bags. Also featured was WIFI access for up to 4 gadgets per room. It has a balcony with a dinette and a drying rack. The room was spotlessly clean, fresh smelling, and welcoming. My only complaint was that they forgot to provide the bathrobes and slippers, but they can request them from the housekeeping.

I was delighted with the anniversary welcome greetings from the staff.

The Bath & Shower: The bathroom has a large marble bath with a separate rain shower and rainforest shower head, Bidet spray, hair dryer, and a bathroom phone. It has a glass shower enclosure with quality personal care products and fresh-smelling towels.

Hotel Amenities:

Multiple Swimming Pools: Outdoor pools are available from 8 AM to 8:30 PM and are clean and well-maintained. Guests may claim beach towels at the pool counter using towel cards issued during check-in. The attendants are on standby to look after the guest’s safety and other concerns.

Pool Bar/Lounge: Guests can relax and unwind with a drink at the poolside and has something for older kids too like Milo cold drink.

Alona Beachfront Access: We opted to walk thru the Henann Alona Beach Resort instead of riding a golf cart service to reach the beachfront. There are lots of beach lounges with umbrellas at the beachfront so that hotel guests can relax and unwind while sunbathing.

Alona Beach has powdery white sand that stretches into the clear turquoise water that is perfect for swimming. It is less crowded here, and walking on the beach and hearing the sound of the waves is a great stress reliever.

Coral Cafe: After we had settled our things in the room, hubby and I brushed to the Cafe to grab something to eat while the kids went to Jollibee, which is only a few steps outside the hotel. We had coffee, Pizza, and Calamari for late lunch at the cafe.

Our accommodation comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast for two for each room at the Coral Cafe. The food selection was decent and delicious, and the servers are quick.

I like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Henann Tawala Resort for their warm accommodation and for sending us medical assistance for my husband, who experienced a stomach upset during our stay. They allowed us to check out late until the patient felt better and even gave us take-home antacids.

Overall, we had a great stay and would give Henann Tawala Resort a 4/5 score for the excellent service they provided us during our stay.
