Bacoor City in the Province of Cavite is the nearest place to visit from Metro Manila on a weekend. Aside from the fact that it is the first province from Manila with 45 minutes travel time, there are lots of transportation means available. From Lawton, you can ride a UV Express Van or a bus going to Cavite.

- St. Michael The Archangel Parish. The church was created as a separate parish from Kawit on January 18, 1792 by virtue of the Royal Cedula issued by Ferdinand VI, King of Spain, to the Spanish Governor General in the Philippines. It was established in 1669 and was constructed using bamboos, straws and nipa leaves. It was during the term of Fr. Mariano Gomes from 1824 to 1872 (48 years ) that the church, known once as the oldest church in Cavite, was renovated with the present architectural structure made of adobe and tegula. Unequipped with modern-day concrete cement mix, thousands of duck egg whites were utilized to bond the huge boulders of adobe.- Bacoor.gov.ph

- Cucina sa Garaje. A garage turned into a resto is now serving Filipino dishes like crispy pata, chicharon bulaklak, lechon kawali, Silog meals etc. What you will love about this place is not only the food they served but also the coziness of the place.
- Digman’s halo halo –The food house is very famous here since it has been featured in many televisions shows and food magazines as well. When we arrived at the street, we got confused because there are two original Digman’s halo halo in the place. We ended up at this store because there’s available parking space for us with the help of the little boy.
These are the ingredients of their famous halo halo. I must say that I do not find any special with their halo halo except that it is too sweet.
Aside from the halo halo, they also offered home made siopao, empanada, pancit and other breakfast silog meal.
Another interesting place to eat and dine is the Kainan sa Balsa floating restaurant where everything is fresh. If you want to eat cheaper but good quality food, this is a perfect place.

You can also go fishing while waiting for your order. Bring your own fishing rod since they do not have one. They charge P 50.00 per kilo of what you have catched,
From Bacoor, you can visit The Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite since this is just a few meters away. The shrine is the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo, officially the first President of the Philippines. Today, the house is now a museum of Aguinaldo’s memorabilia and other historical relics. The house is full of decorations and antique furniture. Many of the decorations have a great significance to our country’s history.

General Aguinaldo and his second wife’s bedroom. There are many secret passageway in this room. The hat rack near the 2nd floor entrance is a secret door leading this bedroom. Behind his closet is a wide opening which is another exit.
The Balcony of Sinners-The General playfully named the place as such because it was here where the Revolutionaries plotted military strategies. The balcony also served as the family’s lounge on lazy afternoons. According to family stories, courtships leading to marriage began here.
