Where to Stay in the Newcoast Station? Check Out Belmont Hotel Boracay

When Boracay Island opened its door to local tourists last November 15, 2021, without an RT PCR test for fully vaccinated individuals, I took the opportunity to plan and book a flight for our dream beach destination during our holiday break.

As a first-time visitor, planning a trip to Boracay would include a place to stay, eat, and adventure to take. Most travel blogs say something about Stations 1, 2, and 3, and very few articles for Station Zero and Newcoast. I decided to stay in the Newcoast area for one day, and the remaining four days will be in Station 1.

BORACAY NEWCOAST STATION

The Boracay Newcoast is another must-visit area aside from Stations 1, 2, and 3, where the famous Island is known for its long stretch of white beach, exciting adventure, great food, and night-long parties. It is found on the Eastern side of Boracay Island, facing the Sibuyan Sea. It offers fresh and exciting experiences for first-timer and returning tourists.

BELMONT HOTEL BORACAY

Belmont Hotel Boracay is a 4-star hotel located inside the Newcoast township and is one of the best hotels in Boracay. It has 442 well-equipped rooms, including six differently-abled rooms. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, a fitness center, and a bar.

Part of our unforgettable Boracay experience was at Belmont Hotel Boracay where we spent a relaxing overnight stay. The hotel showed warm hospitality from the first time I set foot at the hotel up to the time we checked out.

During the check-in:

We (my husband, my daughter, and my nephew) were all exhausted from the flight, boat ride, and e-trike ride when we arrived at the hotel. Before entering the hotel lobby, the staff greeted us, took our temperature, sanitized our hands and footwear, and opened the door. I liked that they offered us a welcome refreshing drink as if they knew we were thirsty. The reception desk staff, Ms. Ailene was polite and accommodating. She even accompanied us to the waiting area of the hotel to have a complimentary snack and relax as she processed our booking from Agoda.

The hotel’s beach vibe design lobby from floor to ceiling is noticeably attractive. It has cozy corners and is also a guest-oriented space. It is clean and tidy, and cozy seats make it a relaxing area to stand by.

The room: Our accommodation is a 27 sqm Deluxe Twin Room with two comfortable single beds. It is spotlessly clean and fresh-smelling, with a cozy ambiance. Premium amenities include:

  • High-speed Wi-Fi access
  • Airconditioning unit
  • Telephone
  • LCD TV with cable channels
  • Night table and lamp
  • Modular closet
  • Safety deposit box
  • The private toilet and bath (hot and cold shower)
  • Hair dryer, bathrobe, and slippers
  • Mini Refrigerator
  • Bottled water, coffee, tea, and an electric kettle
  • Coffee table and chairs

It is the policy of the hotel to disinfect and seal each room before it becomes available for use by every guest. This gesture of the hotel gives me peace of mind.

Rooms are sealed and sanitized for guest’s safety

I don’t know but the moment I stepped inside the room, I felt happy maybe because of the room’s texture. The overhead frame, the curtains, the piles of pillows and the blankets are well coordinated. There is a balance of artificial and natural light from the balcony. The room is pleasant and not monotonous from the ceiling down to the floor. The beds are comfortable, and we had a very good night’s sleep.

Deluxe Twin Room: 27 sqm, 2 single beds (or Queen bed)

Mini Balcony: The room has a small balcony with a sliding glass door, a wall-mounted drying rack, and a single chair. It overlooks the nearby Savoy Hotel and the hotel’s expansive landscape gardens.

Private Restroom and Shower: Although small in size, it was very clean and good smelling, towels are white as if those were new ones and of course, basic toiletries are provided.

The Restaurant

Belmont Cafe is a farm-to-table restaurant that uses quality fresh produce as part of the menu to support local farmers in the community and to ensure sustainability. The food selection includes Filipino favorites with a twist and Meditteranean Cuisine-inspired dishes.

We had dinner at the cafe and tried the restaurant specialty like Seared Tuna Salad P 550 – Consisting of mixed greens with olives, cucumbers tomatoes, boiled egg, onion, and sliced seared Tuna loin with mustard sauce. The Seared Tuna Salad is very refreshing to eat. The tuna is tender and tasty, while the greens are fresh and crisp Cashew Kare-Kare P 950 Crispy fried Pork belly n cashew bisque and spring vegetables. This creamy and saucy dish uses Cashew nuts instead of traditional peanuts. Dinakdakan P 380 – Pork belly and masks tossed in a vinegar dressing with minced ginger, onions, and peppers. The serving sizes are good for sharing and all the dishes are served in a very presentable manner.

Our accommodation booked from Agoda includes a complimentary breakfast buffet at the Belmont Cafe.

The Swimming Pool

The outdoor pool was temporarily unavailable during our stay last December 24, 2021. We used the swimming pool at Savoy Hotel instead. The outdoor pool at Savoy Hotel is impressively huge, with very few guests swimming making it safer during the pandemic.

Exclusive Beachfront access:

In less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel, a private white sand beach gave us an awe-inspiring view of nature. We experienced a moment of peace and serenity by the beach with the sound of waves and a breath of fresh air.

Complimentary activities for in-house guests

Belmont Hotel offers several complimentary activities for in-house guests, including Kayaking, Paddleboat, Coast Tour, Sunrise viewing at the deck, Yoga, and shuttle service going to D Mall in Station 1.

Belmont Hotel Free Shuttle Service

Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable limited stay at Belmont Hotel Boracay. I wanted to spend more time here, but we had to transfer to another hotel in Station 1 for the rest of our vacation for another exciting adventure.

Let us all travel safely.

God bless!
