Once in a while we need to unwind and let go of stress. There’s nothing more important than our health, of course. I thought of getting enough sleep, eating fresh and getting close to nature is the best way of relaxation. I was looking for a perfect staycation and been searching for places near Metro Manila using the Booking.com app and found Splendido Hotel Tagaytay. I booked a premier deluxe room with a mountain view. (lake view is better but was no longer available) for the three of us (me, Aris and Chelle).
Splendido Hotel is located at KM 67, Tagaytay-Nasugbu National Highway, Alfonso, Cavite, Philippines.
Overlooking the majestic view of Taal Lake along the Tagaytay Ridge. Surrounded by the amazing beauty of nature and caressed with a cool mountain breeze.
The hotel itself is located down the hill so be careful driving since going down is pretty steep. There’s an ample parking space located on the hillside and inside the building.
The Reception Area:
The reception area is spacious, well lighted and clean. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff, assisted us with our booking and briefly informed us about the hotel’s policy. The hotel’s staff was fast, pleasant and friendly.
A complimentary refreshment for the guests will be served at the reception area.
The Room:
The beds are comfortable enough and beddings are clean and smell fresh. We had a good night sleep with these mattresses.
At the mini bar is a complimentary refreshment. Overpriced snacks and other drinks were inside the mini ref (good thing we brought our own food). An electric kettle is provided for hot drinks and service water is available upon request. If you need to reheat the food, just ask the hotel.
The comfort room and shower room is not as big as I expected but spacious enough for one person. The hotel provides basic toiletries, bath towels, hair blower, and slippers.
A bathtub with an overhead hot/cold shower.
The room is carpeted, a big flat screen TV is working just fine with cable channel and the aircon is not bad. WIFI connection was slow in our spot but was good enough to access social media. We prefer to open the window to let the chilly air enter the room. There is a closet and a safety deposit box included, a working table and chair were also provided.
Waking up with the mountain view made us more appreciative of nature, God’s creations are amazing!
All green and serene, best with a cup of coffee (all rooms has a veranda for a great nature view).
Hotel Amenities: All the amenities are located in the hotel’s clubhouse outside the building. Going to the clubhouse is not a long walk, they provide service anyway.
Pool Area is big enough to accommodate a large number of guests. There’s a kiddie pool for the young ones just beside the main pool.
If you need a towel, you can rent inside the shower room for P100 each and in case you need a locker, they will charge another P100.
We had so much fun swimming! The weather was good with a little sunshine but still very cold. I suggest that you go to the pool at around 8 AM since most of the guests are still at the breakfast buffet table. Free use of swimming pool for checked-in guests.
The hotel charged for other amenities since it is owned by the Country Club.
We checked out at exactly 12:00 it was fast and smooth. Overall, It was really a pleasant stay based on our own experience. We ate lunch at nearby restaurants along Aguinaldo Highway.
FYI:
- The hotel requires P1,500.00 refundable deposit.
- Booking fee excludes taxes and service fee.
- There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby
- 24 hours room service is available
Travel date: June 16 to 17, 2018
Thank you for viewing!
God bless!
