Tagaytay City has been our go-to place when we want to get a quick weekend getaway. However, when traffic becomes unbearable, Silang Cavite is our best alternative. Anyway, It shares the same cool climate as Tagaytay City. In addition, the place is rich in natural and cultural sites.

1. Our Lady of Candelaria Parish Church

If you are fascinated with ancient structures, this church in Silang, Cavite is a must-visit. One of the oldest churches in the Philippines it was established as a parish on February 3, 1595.

The church architecture and the three 300-year-old altarpieces will bring you back to the Spanish Colonial period. As a contributor to our history, it was declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines on February 3, 2017.

These 16th-century antique woodwork altarpieces are magnificent, and every carved image of saints is outstanding. The main altarpiece depicts the life of Jesus based on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

The interior of the church is very simple yet provides a fascinating glimpse of the old times.

2. Gourmet Farm, Inc.

Since outdoor dining is an option for most of us during this pandemic, Gourmet Farm can be the best choice. It offers alfresco garden seating while having a farm-to-table eating experience. The open-spaced area with beautiful lush greens and blossoms promotes a relaxing ambiance.

7. Divine Mercy Parish Church

If you are looking for a serene place for worship, I recommend this Catholic church in Biluso, Silang Cavite. It has spacious grounds to park your car and walk around to reflect.

Holy images of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and other saints can be encountered everywhere. It is enveloped by a beautiful garden, making it peaceful and serene.

Spacious interiors with white-painted walls and ceilings create a calming atmosphere inside the church. The Divine Mercy image in the gold frame is on the main altar.

8. Perlas ng Silang

The newest tourist attraction in Silang Cavite is an eco-tourist garden and restaurant that offers Asian Cuisine in a fully alfresco setting. It has a panoramic landscape with living sculptures like a woman figure, a giant ostrich, and a man’s face. There is also a vintage car planter that is perfect for your IG post.

The place is located on the elevated portion which is why it has a cooler temperature.
