I always plan an out of the country trip during December as a Christmas gift to my family, but since I cannot go abroad this holiday season due to my health condition, I thought of a relaxing staycation would do anyway.
Staycations are becoming popular nowadays, especially for families that need bonding moments due to the limited time they spent together during the weekdays. Since traffic in Metro Manila does not allow us to spend more time with our loved ones, families today find ways by booking accommodation in a hotel where they can bond as long as they want.
Sharing our relaxing overnight stay at Diamond Hotel Philippines last December 7 to 8, 2019.

Situated along Roxas Boulevard, Diamond Hotel Philippines offers luxury rooms with a wide window that lets you see the scenic view of the Manila Bay or the city landscape or both.
At the Lobby:
Christmas is in the air at the lobby of the hotel. A dazzling tall White Christmas tree is on display which made the place merry and bright. Everyone took photos at this spot.
Check in was flawless, staff were very accommodating and polite. Since my booking was paid online, I just presented my ID for verification then they require for a refundable deposit of P 4,000 which they refunded after we checked out.
All Premier Rooms are located at 22nd and 23rd floors. Our room number was 2208.

Our room was cozy and impressively big with a sofa and a working table. What I liked most in the room is the bed. It is a big, reasonably firm mattress and those plushy pillows that look and smell fresh. Once you lie down, you’ll surely fall asleep. Electric sockets on both sides of the bed which made it convenient for us to charge our mobile phones. Lampshades on both sides of the bed give extra relaxing light. I requested for an extra bed for my daughter, Rochelle and they provided it without extra charge.
The view from our room catches both the relaxing Manila Bay and the busy cityscape which give a stunning view at night.
As a guest, I felt special for these welcome fruits, chocolate treats, and a complimentary welcome drink. By the way, these exclusive chocolates from Diamond Hotel taste delightfully sweet.
The hotel provided basic necessities like bathrobe, room slippers, flat iron with ironing board, and safety deposit box. A complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea was also provided. The mini bar has full of pre stocked favorite snacks and drinks for the guests consumption to be paid upon check-out.
Toilet and bath features. A well designed rustic toilet and bath room is very spacious and clean. A bath tub with handheld and overhead shower (hot and cold), hair dryer, fresh towels, and basic bath amenities are provided.
Exclusive toiletries from Diamond Hotel Philippines are made available. From salon-inspired shampoos and sumptuous body care products to dental kits and even sewing kits are also provided.
Hotel Amenities:
For a perfect city escape, the kids took a relaxing dip at the swimming pool with a cascading waterfall in the center. It is surrounded by beach chairs and palm trees which add to the tropical feels of the place. There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi next to the infinity pool. Beach towels are available at no extra cost.
Health Club and Spa is located in the second-floor hallway of the hotel.
Indoor Jacuzzi, Sauna and steam room: open from 6AM -11PM towels and bathrobes are provide for free.

The Gym features equipment for cardiovascular and strength stations. Complimentary use of the exercise room for in-house guests and is open 24 hours daily. Gym towels and refreshing infused lemon water is available to keep the guests hydrated.
Our booking includes breakfast for two at the Corniche, one of the top lists buffets in Manila where it serves an excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although selections were not overwhelming, local and international dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients. Unlimited coffee and freshly squeezed juices are always available. We sat in the peaceful area near the glass window where a cascading waterfall adds to the relaxation of our stay.
Overall, we had a satisfying stay at this hotel. Transactions were smooth from check-in to check-out. All of the hotel staff are very nice, accommodating and polite. We look forward to staying at this hotel again.
